He took up his academic pursuit in 1975 as Lecturer in Coimbatore Institute of Technology. After completing his post-graduation with Second Rank from Madras University, he continued to serve at Coimbatore Institute of Technology and held positions as Assistant Professor, Professor and HOD of ECE during his tenure. His area of specialization is VLSI Design and completed his Ph.D from Bharathiar University in 2006.   Principal Dr.R.Rangarajan   His topics of interest include VHDL and Verilog, Low Power VLSI Design and High Performance Communication Networks. Successfully coordinated Research projects and received grant from AICTE/TAPTEC worth of Rs.17 Lakhs Published Three papers in International Journal,  Two papers at National Journal and many papers in International and National Conferences.  Life Member of ISTE, Fellow of The Institute of Engineers, Charted Engineer (CEng) The Institution Engineer and Member of Bio-Medical Engineering Society. Governing Council Member of PSR Engineering College, Sivakasi, Infant Jesus College of Engineering, Tirunelveli and AICTE Expert Committee Member in ECE and Inspected more than 25 Engineering Colleges in various states.
